how to fold down the rear seats on a 55 plate Mercedes Benz C Class?

I need to lower the rear seats on a 55 plate Mercedes Benz C Class, in the boot i found 2 panels which i removed and found 2 locking clamps, (similar to what you get on doors when the door shuts its closes around it to hold it shut) but i cant find any levers or anything to release the clamps to lower the seats.

Lift the boot lid. There are two flush release levers visible just below the rear window. Just pull them. No fiddling about on your knees and feeling between the seat cushions on a Merc.!
